Cairns runs on a wet season that flattens some industries and lifts others, a tourism cycle that peaks between May and October, and a competitor set small enough that one or two well-optimised sites can hold a category for years. Those are the things I plan around. Increasingly those same searches get answered by AI Overviews rather than a list of blue links, so answer engine optimisation sits alongside the local work rather than after it.
